Today's Quote!

If you want to be loved, be lovable.
Ovid

This kind of goes without saying, though sometimes the obvious can be forgotten. If you feel like you aren't loved by someone that you want to be loved by, make sure that you are not driving them away. If you aren't being unpleasant, then it's their loss. You have so much to offer, and you do not need them. Never change yourself for someone else, just be aware of the interactions and yourself.

Reason #4 Time Is A Non-renewable Resource...

Once you use a moment of your time there is no getting it back. Every decision you make is a life changing decision whether you know it or not. Spending a lot of time on decisions that seem to be extremely important is fine, but don't forget that even the decision to take a certain route to school can be life threatening. Think of your time as money and figure out whether or not you can afford to spend another moment on self hate, self pity, impatience, etc. I choose to avoid spending another second on emotions like envy and selfishness because unlike money, I can never know which second is my last.
My Daily challenge to you:
Today I challenge you to be more aware of the time you are using. When you have a less than pleasant experience, which we are all destined to have, evaluate whether or not you can afford to use your time on being negative about it. Capitalize your time by choosing exactly how you want to feel, regardless of what happens to you. Many people in you life have invested in your happiness, so when you waste your own time you're wasting theirs too.

Random Quote!

Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, it's what you are expected to give -- which is everything.

Reason #3. You have a choice...

When it comes down to it, a lot of times our patience runs short. You're on your way to work and someone asks you a quick favor, or you have something to do and someone you love needs to talk. It is easy to keep your eye on the prize, and it is important to stay on task. However, most of us are always on task, leaving no room for the little things. The little things count a lot more than you think. You have a choice every moment of your life. Nothing is more important than having love in your life. If you give it up by neglecting the little things for a job that you may get laid off from in a week, what do you have? My friends dad said it best "The only two things I have to do are stay black and die." That of course can be applied to any ethnicity :D
My daily challenge to you:
I challenge you to take a spare moment to do a little thing for someone. Smile at the cashier, give a little change to the local homeless guy, let someone have your spot in line at the grocery store. You will reap so many benefits from your kindness that you don't even know!

Reason #2. Your presence is intoxicating...

Everything is just so fast these days. We don't always feel like we have the time to sit and bask in the presence of our friends and family. Spiritual bonds are easy to create if one is inclined to stop and understand the essence of another human being. You don't have to be looking for a relationship to feel love towards someone else. Sharing the bond of love with anyone and everyone can bring so much more meaning to your life.
My Daily challenge for you:
I challenge you to find someone who you like as a friend, and have always been intrigued to know more about. Take the first steps to learning about what makes them beautiful...maybe one day your like for them can be love. Don't be so stingy with the "L" word!

Reason #1. See Beauty Everywhere...

Ugly is not really a word we should ever use. Everything has something beautiful to offer. By letting shallow outside appearances blind us we do not always allow ourselves to see things that are so much more beautiful than we can imagine.
My daily challenge for you:
I challenge you to find something you previously thought to be ugly (i.e a person, a picture, a shirt, whatever) Make a list of five reasons that it is beautiful. Push yourself to see something you have to work to see. Doesn't that really make it more valuable if it is not visible to the naked eye?

I Love Me...

You must love yourself before you love anyone else. If you can't appreciate the gifts God gave you, how do you expect to love the gifts He gave anyone else? To truly love their gifts without envy is to truly live an existence in which you are in control of your happiness. I love everyone in my life right now, and that is because God gave me the gift of serenity, and I know what I can change, and I accept what I cannot.

I'm Keyara, and you are welcome to join me on my journey to a more energized me.
